Complying with Article 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (hereinafter: "GDPR") thyssenkrupp hereby informs You about the processing of Your personal data during the recruitment and selection processes.
Definitions used in this information shall have the meaning as defined in Article 4 of the GDPR.
I. Name and contact details of the controller
During the recruitment and selection processes, and in connection with sending newsletters regarding recruitment and employment selection, and in connection with sending invitations for events relating to recruitment and employment selection, thyssenkrupp is the controller of Your personal data. III. Categories and sources of personal data
We process your personal data provided in the Application form, specifically:
- data suitable for Your personal identification: name, place and date of birth név, születési hely, születési idő;
- contact details: name, address, e-mail address
- information on Your qualifications: CV, copies of documents certifying former educations, information regarding language proficiency
- information on Your former professional employment: CV, documents confirming Your professional experience, copies of recommendations.
IV. Purpose and basis of data processing
We process the data provided in the Application form for the purposes of recruitment and the selection of our prospective employees. The basis of data processing is Your declaration of consent (in accordance with article 6 section (1) point a) of the GDPR. In case you of your consent thyssenkrupp may process your name and e-mail address, provided in the Application form for the purpose of informing you by sending you newsletters on future job opportunities, and other relevant issues regarding employment selection. The legal basis of data processing is your declaration of consent (Article 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR). In case you of your consent thyssenkrupp may process your name and e-mail address, provided in the Application form for the purpose of sending you invitations for events relating to recruitment and employment selection. The legal basis of data processing is your declaration of consent (Article 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR).

Further, in the following cases data might be transferred to third parties:
- based on statutory provisions, in order to comply with our statutory obligations data might be transferred to third persons, organs, court or authority, as indicated in the legal provisions. Personal data might be further forwarded or made accessible based on the request made by a court, authority or governmental organ.
- for attorneys, other third parties, organs, court or authority, if it is necessary for the protection of the rights, property or safety of the employees, shareholders of thyssenkrupp or thyssenkrupp group company, or the companies themselves.
VI. Transfer of personal data to third countries
No transfer of personal data to third country recipients shall occur in connection with the recruitment, sending newsletters, or invitations.
VII. Automated individual decision-making, including profiling
No solely automated individual decision-making shall occur during the recruitment, sending newsletters, or invitations.
VIII. The period of which the personal data will be stored
The periods of which the personal data will be stored are the following:

IX. Providing personal data as a precondition for participation in the recruitment process and the consequences of failure to provide such data
Personal data provided in the "Application form" and in the attached documents are necessary for the assessment of competence in the recruitment process, and, for sending newsletters regarding recruitment and employment selection, and for sending invitations for events relating to recruitment and employment selection- provided, that you have given your consent to such data processing. Providing Your data and documents is not compulsory, however by voluntary provision of Your data You acknowledge that such data is considered to be essential for the evaluation of Your application, without such data the evaluation of Your application becomes impossible.
If You fail to provide data as requested on the Application form, or to attach documents/certifications as indicated, Your application will be deleted from our system without delay, therefore Your application will be considered unsuccessful, and we shall not be able to send you newsletters and invitations regarding recruitment and employment selection.
X. Your rights as a data subject
- You may request thyssenkrupp to
- a) provide access to Your personal data (Article 15 of the GDPR). With this regard You are entitled to be informed whether Your personal data are being processed, You are entitled to obtain access to and a copy of your personal data, and also to be informed on all information regarding such data that is relevant in a data-protection aspect (e.g. categories of recipients, storage periods, applicable safeguards while transferring to third countries);
- b) rectify Your personal data (Article 16 of the GDPR). With this regard You are entitled to obtain the rectification of inaccurate data and also to have incomplete data completed;
- c) erase Your personal data (Article 17 of the GDPR).
- d) restrict the processing of Your personal data (Article 18 of the GDPR).
- You may withdraw Your consent at any time:The basis of processing data during the recruitment and employee selection process and for sending newsletters and invitations regarding recruitment and employment selection is Your declaration of consent (see Section C of this form). We hereby inform you, that You are entitled to withdraw Your consent at any time, which however shall not affect the lawfulness of processing data before the withdrawal.
- You may submit your request to exercise Your above mentioned rights to thyssenkrupp at the contact details indicated above. thyssenkrupp will meet your request as soon as possible, within 10 days at the latest, and will inform you on the actions taken or the reasons for refusal.
- Right to lodge a complaint:You are entitled to lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (HU-1024 Budapest, Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor 22/C; website: naih.hu; email: ugyfelszolgalat@naih.hu; tel: + (36)-1-391-1400). Prior to lodging a complaint with the authority we advise you to submit your request to thyssenkrupp at first in order to enable us to assess your request first.
- Right to judicial remedy:In case of a violation of Your rights You are entitled to bring legal proceedings against thyssenkrupp before court. The legal proceedings shall fall within the competence of the regional court (in Hungarian: "törvényszék"). The legal proceedings may be brought before the competent regional court at Your place of residence.

Please indicate what shall happen with Your CV and personal data in case of Your application is considered to be unsuccessful:
- In case of an unsuccessful application, I request thyssenkrupp to store my CV and my personal data in its closed-system database and to contact me with further job opportunities based on this application within 36 months after the announcement of the decision on the application. The retention period of 36 months has significant relevance at thyssenkrupp, because we have several starting projects with such duration in which we need time in order to evaluate our demand in manpower.
